St. Charles, MO-Junior standout Jewel Carter (Kansas City, KS) had a career afternoon Saturday in St. Charles, MO. Carter poured in 40 points keeping his team in the game throughout. Unfortunately for the Jackets it wasn't enough in the end. Graceland saw a 42-39 halftime lead slip away as they fell 96-89 to the Lions.
Besides Carter's 40, senior Simon Morefield (Independence, MO) had a nice game scoring 15 points and snaring 9 rebounds and sophomore Jared Stricklin (Grain Valley, MO) added 12.
Graceland now stands at 5-21 overall and 2-14 in HAAC play. The Jackets only have tomorrow off before they hit the road again Monday evening for a 7:30pm matchup in Atchison, KS against the Benedictine College Ravens. The Jackets have already defeated the Ravens once on the year and will be going for the season sweep Monday.
