Fayette, MO-The women's basketball team was in Fayette, MO Saturday afternoon looking to head into the conference play stretch run with momentum. All season long the Jackets biggest problem has been falling behind their opponents too far and not being able to climb their way back into games. Today they the opposite happened. Graceland got up by as many as 13 on the Eagles before seeing it slip away into a 7 point loss at 66-59.
The Jackets had four players in double figures in the loss led by senior forward Katie Lemburg (Modesto, CA) with 16. Quannika Horne (Lansing, MI) and Alex Pinney (Schulenburg, TX) both added 11 and freshman Kendra Beagle (Liberty, MO) had 10.
The Jackets are now 3-16 overall and 1-13 in HAAC play. Graceland will next face MidAmerica Nazarene this coming Thursday in Lamoni at 5:30 pm. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage on the women's basketball team and all of Jacket athletics.
