Olathe, KS-The women's basketball team was finally back in action Thursday night for the first time since December 13th. In Olathe, Kansas Graceland was set to face HAAC perennial power MidAmerica Nazarene. The Jackets played an exceptionally good defensive game and played right with the Pioneers for all but a five minute stretch in the second half. Unfortuantely for the Jackets, the five minute stretch was enough to push MidAmerica over the edge giving them a 63-52 victory. Graceland now stands at 2-8 overall and 0-5 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
Graceland was led tonight by Alex Pinney (Schulenburg, TX) with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Channel Rainey (Los Angeles, CA) and Quannika Horne (Lansing, MI) both added 9 in the loss.
