Sioux City, IA-On a day where the Jackets fought the toughest elements of the fall, they were able to pull out a tough, hard fought win. Fighting wind, cold fall temperatures and a little rain Jeffrey Darkwah was able to score the game winning goal to give the Jackets a 1-0 victory over the Mustangs of Morningside.
"Today we fought through a lot of different things," stated a cold Coach Monroy from Sioux City. "It was a long drive, it was cold, it rained, it was windy and yet we battled the entire time. Our team is really starting to hit their stride and it's nice to see. We've only got a few more games left in the regular season and we need to polish up on a few things. Hopefully we can be at our best as the regular season begins to close," finished Monroy.
The Jackets will head back into conference play this weekend as they'll face the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers in Olathe, KS this Saturday at 3pm. Stay in tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage on the men's soccer team and all Jacket athletics.
