Marshall, MO-The women's volleyball team has been on a roll of late and it's been a very exciting run. Thursday night they were in Marshall, Missouri for their sixth conference match of the year and looking to improve on their second place standing in the HAAC. The Jackets dominated the Vikings of Missouri Valley winning easily in three 25-13, 25-22 and 25-16. Graceland now stands at 18-8 overall and 5-1 in HAAC play.
Graceland got strong outings from the usual suspects. Outside hitters Savali Ta'amu (Kent, WA) and McKenzie Fix (Ridgefield, WA) were both dominate hitters on the evening and paced the way for the Jacket sweep. Graceland also continued to get the strong platform play that has been their foundation for success all season.
"Another good team effort," stated Coach McDole from Marshall. "We served well and won the pass game. Ta'amu and Fix were again the offensive leaders. The match was a test of focus. We passed that test," finished McDole.
Graceland is back in Lamoni next Tuesday night for a 7:30 conference match against the Benedictine Ravens. Stay in tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage on the women's volleyball team and all of Jacket athletics.
