Lamoni, IA-Coming off of a tough loss last Thursday night against a non-conference opponent, Graceland was looking to get back on track Tuesday night. Facing always tough conference foe Evangel University the Jackets were able to beat them for the second time already in this young season. Graceland won in 4 by scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-20 and 25-21.
"The story of tonights match was our platforms and our serving," exclaimed an excited Coach McDole following the contest. "They played absolutely outstanding tonight and just refused to quit. We had two key players go down tonight with injuries but we were able to get great efforts from our subs. It's exciting to have such an outstanding night like this because it really shows the improvement this team continues to make," concluded McDole.
Graceland next participates in the GU Pizza Shack Invitational here in Lamoni beginning Friday afternoon. Schedule will be posted shortly. The Jackets are now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
