Olathe, KS- The Graceland women's volleyball season kicked off the 2008 campaign in stylish fashion. The Jackets faced Missouri Valley in their opening match of the afternoon and would proceed to beat them in three straight. Graceland won 25-15, 25-15 and 25-12 overwhelming the Vikings. In the nightcap the Jackets squared off against always tough conference foe Evangel. Graceland defeated the Crusaders in 5. Final scores were: 25-23, 18-25, 25-15, 19-25 and 15-6.
The Jackets continue play in the HAAC preseason tournament tomorrow afternoon when they'll face Lindenwood University at 11am and Central Methodist University at 4pm. Both matches will be audio streamed through Stretch Internet on the Graceland athletics website. Check back tomorrow for scores and story about the matches.
