Lamoni, IA-Six Graceland soccer players are playing in various parts of the world this summer. Matt Klaus, Carlos Ortiz, Rueben Ruelas, Edson Edwards, Fillip Prostran and Estefan DeLas are all honing their soccer skills in preparation for the 2008 Jacket season.
Matt Klaus, after returning from a semester abroad in France, has been asked to train with the Kansas City Brass of the PDL (Professional Development League). Carlos Ortiz has been invited to practice with the Colombian National team this summer. Ruben Ruelas has been playing with the Ottawa Fury in Ottawa, Canada. The Fury are also members of the Professional Developmental League. Edson Edwards was selected by the Kansas City Wizards youth program to play with the under-19 team during the summer. Fillip Prostran and Estefan DeLas will be part of the Des Moines Menace of the PDL (Professional Development League) for the summer season.
All the Jackets are looking forward to what should be a very promising and exciting season. It won't be long and the entire soccer team will be back on campus for 2008 preseason! For more info on the PDL and to follow the Jackets playing in it this summer, click the following link:
