Mobile, AL- The Graceland men’s tennis teamed wrapped up the first day of Nationals competition in Mobile, Alabama.
Graceland, the region V champions played the region III champions University of Sioux Falls(S.D.) in the first round. The Yellowjackets made a clean sweep of the cougars, 3-0 in doubles(Broadbeck/Caffardo, Waite/Cordova, Paz/Ramirez) play and 6-0 in singles. “The team played really well and didn’t lose any sets,” said Brett Waite(Jr, St. Louis, MO). Waite added, “We are very excited, we know we have a good team and we are looking forward to getting past the 2nd round for the first time.” #11 Graceland will now face the #6 University of Vangaurd(CA) Tuesday at 1pm in the 2nd round.
