Women Finish Third in Four Team Event

Marshall, MO-The Yellowjacket women's team finished third at the Missouri Valley Invitational. In another exceptional performance, Freshmen Natalia Renjifo (Bogata, Colombia) led the jackets to a third place finish. Coach Brunner mentioned that "Natalia is impressive. She is a consistent golfer and as she finds her swing again this spring, I am sure she will be back on her winning ways." Sophomore Krista Woodend (Woodstock, ONT) had an excellent first nine holes of 41. "Krista's potential is not fully tapped yet. If I can get her to play a complete 18 holes she will be something special on the course," stated Coach Brunner. Junior Christy Everett (Aurora, IL) continued to improve in only her second full season of playing golf. Junior Bethany Garchar (Brentwood, CA) shows significant improvement with each round as she has always improved her score and did so again at this tournament.
Next up is the Northwest Missouri Invitational at Mozingo Lake Golf Course.
