Lamoni, IA-The Jacket volleyball team has taken a calculated approach to recruiting this year. Going position by position, Head Coach Stew McDole continues to ink rock solid players to his team. His latest is Keisha Miura a 5'5" setter from Honolulu, Hawaii. Miura is the daughter of Keith and Shauna Miura and she has one sister Nicole. Keisha guided her team this past season to the Division II Hawaiian state championship and was named to the all-tournament team as well as being ranked the fifth best player in the state by the Honolulu Star Bulletin's statewide poll of media and coaches.
"Keisha continues the long standing Graceland Volleyball-Hawaii connection," stated Coach McDole. She follows ably in the footsteps of the several great players from the islands who have contributed to our tradition and heritage. She is a setter who has played and succeeded at the highest levels in high school (a 2007 State Championship and an All-Tournament selection). Her club play with Pakela Volleyball has brought her to major tournaments across the country and cemented her credentials. I watched her play in Las Vegas and was struck by her capability, passion and humility. She will be a part of teams that will fit on the "must see" list. It will be great to welcome her to the Graceland community this fall."
All of Graceland University is excited about seeing Keisha in a Jacket uniform next year.
