Lamoni, IA- The Graceland baseball team has picked the pace up again after a bit of a mid-season lull.  The Jackets were in cold Olathe, KS Friday afternoon playing the first two of a four game, two day scheduled series.  The Jackets, coming off of a double header sweep of the Baker Wildcats on Monday were looking to continue their solid play.  The Jackets swept MidAmerica winning game 1, 4-3 and game 2, 7-3.

Graceland would take an early lead in game one scoring once in the first inning and then three times in the third.  That would be enough as they held on for the 4-3 win.  In game two, Graceland got solid bullpen pitching from freshman Garrett Grundman (Croswell, MI) who threw four plus innings in relief of injured pitcher Matt Beckenhauer (McCook, NE).  Grundman allowed two earned runs, struck out two and walked two in earning his first career win.

The Jackets game scheduled for Saturday has been moved to Monday at 1pm due to wet field conditions.  Graceland will host MidAmerica in their final home game and senior day at North Park.
