Lamoni, IA-Graceland University's Volleyball and Track teams are really looking forward to having Amber Sanford as another recruit for next fall. Amber is the daughter of Bryan and Karen Sanford and she has a one brother Brandon. Sanford was a middle hitter for Winnetonka High School and lettered there in two separate years. Besides excelling on the volleyball court, Sanford is also an exceptional shot put and discus thrower for her track and field team. Being a two sport athlete will be demanding, but she has proven throughout the capability to handle both athletics and academics. While busy with her sports, Amber still kept an A+ Honor Roll.
"Amber is mature, articulate, and willing to make personal sacrifices for the betterment of the team," says head coach Stew McDole." "She is a natural leader on and off the court. My sense is that she also has great passion for our game; she really likes to play. She completes the package in the classroom. Amber will be an asset to our program and our University. We are delighted at her decision to attend," concluded McDole.
Graceland is looking forward to a long and positive career from Sanford and the Graceland community is very excited to have her on campus in the fall.
