Lamoni, IA-The men's and women's tennis teams are enjoying phenomenal seasons during the '08 campaign. The women, who have won five straight matches, stand at 6-2 overall after defeating McKendree College yesterday.
The men are 10-1 overall and sport three individual players ranked in the nation's top 35. Remy Caffardo is currently ranked 6 nationally, Brett Waite, grandson of Jacket Head Coach Jerry Hampton is ranked 15 and Miguel Lopez is ranked 34 overall. In doubles, Graceland has three teams ranked as well. The combination of Broadbeck and Caffardo stand at 4 nationally, Waite and Cordova at 10, and Paz and Ramirez are slotted at 15.
The Jackets look for a strong finish to the season as they make the push into the National Tournament. Graceland's next home contests for both the men's and women's teams are this Thursday beginning at 3:30 vs. Missouri Valley.
