March 12, 2008 | Box Game 1 | Box Game 2Kansas City, MO- The Graceland softball team traveled to Kansas City on Wednesday afternoon for their first conference double header of the season. On a beautiful day where temperatures reached the 70's, the Jackets split with Avila dropping the first game 3-2 and winning game two 9-2.

Game 1 the Jackets struggled to get the bats going and miscued on a few plays giving up two unearned runs leading to the loss. In game 2 the bats got hot, Sarah Lippold (Osceola, IA) pitched a very strong game, and the defense backed her up for an all around team effort. Graceland tallied only one error in game two.
The Jackets head to Sterling, Kansas for the beginning of spring break as they'll compete in the Sterling tournament this Friday. Times will be announced.
