The Jackets set out on this season with high hopes.  One of their goals was to get themselves back into the post-season tournament.  Graceland accomplished that this year and participated in their first post-season tournament in three years on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, the Jackets fell to the #1 ranked and defending national champion MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers, 84-57.

Graceland played well early on leading the Pioneers at the ten minute mark in the first half 21-17.  That however, would be short lived.  MidAmerica would go on a 25-4 run and took a 48-27 lead into the locker room at half time.  Graceland wasn't able to cut into the lead in the second half as they struggled with turnovers and poor shooting all night.

"We came out ready tonight and played well early, we just weren't able to sustain it," Coach Quinn said after the game.  "The energy was there in the first ten minutes, we just fell apart after that and went flat.  We turned the ball over too much and didn't shoot well and you just can't do that against a team as good as MidAmerica," Quinn concluded.

The Williams twins lead Graceland in scoring as both scored 13 on the evening Andrew pullimg down 5 boards and Aundrae pulling down 4 respectively.  Junior Simon Morefield also scored 11 points and ripped down 7 boards for Graceland in the losing effort.

The Jacket coaching staff will hit the recruiting trail hard now in the off-season as Graceland looks to continue improving and build on their progression from this season.
