Lamoni, IA-During what's proven to be a cold and snowy winter, the Graceland track team was warm and cozy inside the confines of the Closson Center Saturday. The Jacket track teams finished up competition today finding themselves at 4th place (men) and 6th place (women) respectively.
Besides the solid team showing, Graceland had some fine individual performances. Junior Ben Brummitt (Unionville, MO) finished second overall in the men's heptathalon. Brummitt finished with 4766 points total, only 32 points behind the 1st place finisher. Freshman Ben Vink (London, Ontario) and senior Luke Keny (Eldore, Kenya) finished 2nd and 3rd overall in the men's 800 and freshman Neil Grundman (Croswell, MI) placed third in the 5000 meter run.
The Jacket qualifiers for the national meet will be named shortly. The NAIA Indoor National Meet will be held in Johnson City, Tennessee March 6-8.
