The men's basketball team got their biggest win of the season Saturday afternoon on the road vs. the Benedictine Ravens. The Jackets pulled out a resounding victory, 83-66, sweeping the regular season against the Ravens. The Jackets led by as many as 18 points in the first half and took a 14 point lead into the locker room at halftime. The Ravens, however, would not go down quietly. Benedictine went on a run of their own in the second half, coming all the way back to tie the game midway through the second stanza. The Jackets were able to stave off the Ravens run and collect a huge road win. "This afternoon was an incredible road win for us," Coach Quinn said on the trip home. "To be able to go on the road against one of the top teams in the HAAC and get the victory says a lot about how much this team has grown this year. Our bench was an enormous factor in today's ball game. Andrew Williams and Jonathan Carter played fantastically. The resolve this team continues to show with each passing ball game has been a joy to coach and to watch," Coach Quinn finished.Graceland had four players in double figures, led by by sophomore Aundrae Williams with 19 points and 7 boards. Jonathan Carter added 15, Mike Malat had 12, and Andrew Williams poured in 11 to go along with 8 rebounds. Graceland hosts their final home game of the season on Monday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Monday is also senior night for the Jackets as they try to clinch a play-off berth in HAAC post-season play.
