The Jackets had a tough time Monday night when they took on Avila University at the Closson Center. The final score was 92-68 and the the loss brings the Jackets to 14-12 overall and 7-9 in conference play. Katie Lemburg led the way for Graceland with 14 points. Keturah Spotwood put in 12 points and 4 rebounds respectively.
Graceland struggled throughout the game, falling down 17 points by halftime. They put together a nice second half effort to stay in the game. "This was a tough conference loss," said Coach Butler after the game. "It was difficult to find a rhythm without our starting point guard. We have to regroup and focus on our next opponent," he concluded.
The Jackets next game is set for Thursday, February 14 at the Closson Center. The ladies will be taking on our rival William Jewell College. Tip time is 5:30 and should be a great game.
