Sioux Center, IA- .Graceland was in Sioux Center, Iowa Saturday trying get back on the winning track. Graceland played a very strong up tempo first half of basketball, playing even with Dordt into the intermission tied 38-38. Unfortunately, Dordt College pulled away in the second half defeating the Jackets 87-74.
"We competed very hard against a very good team in a good league," Coach Quinn said on the trip home. "The difference came down to turnovers and defensive stops in the second half. They executed in the second half, took care of the ball, and we just weren't able to put multiple stops together tonight. After four games though, we finally played hard for forty minutes against a quality team. There are now some clear cut things to fix to become a better team," Quinn concluded with.
The Jackets next face Coach Ted Quinn's alma mater, Mount Marty College of Yankton, SD, Tuesday evening at 7:30.
