Canton, MO-
The #14 ranked Jackets were on the road Saturday at Culver Stockton trying to run their record to 5-1 on the season. It proved to be a more difficult task then anyone expected. Graceland fell behind 24-0 and wouldn’t get on the board until the five minute mark in the second quarter. After that, it was all Graceland spoiling Culver’s homecoming. The Jackets scored 35 unanswered points scoring 14 before halftime and another 21 in the third quarter putting Graceland up 35-24, and for all intents and purposes, putting away the Wildcats. Graceland would add another touchdown and Culver added another late touchdown and field goal to complete the scoring at 42-33.

Quarterback Garrett Graves (Missoula, MT) threw for 313 yards and one touchdown and had 32 rushing yards and a touchdown. Running back Jerome Messam (Ontario, Canada) had another big game. Messam had 177 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Tyler Stewart (San Diego, CA) continues to improve and had a very nice day. Stewart had 5 catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Graceland will host Lindenwood University next Saturday in Lamoni at Huntsman Field for a 1:30 kick-off in what could prove to be the most important game of the year for the Jackets.
