Jackets Open With Win At Bellevue Tourney

September 14, 2007

Bellevue, NE-
Men's Soccer headed west to Bellevue, Nebraska this weekend for the Bellevue University Invitational. Coming off their sweep last weekend, and being bumped back to third in the national rankings, the Jackets looked to improve on their already successful 4-0-1 season. They got off on the right foot tonight. Graceland defeated a good Oklahoma Christian team scoring three goals in the first half to put the game away early. "I'm extremely happy with the way we played tonight." Coach Joseph stated following the contest. "We played the best half of soccer we've played all year in the first half. The team showed some real flashes of brilliance." Matt Klaus, Hunter Re, and Kevin Souter all had goals for the Jackets tonight. Souter and Prostran had assists on two of the three goals scored. Graceland looks to keep it going as they'll take the day off tomorrow, and resume play in the tourney Sunday vs. Bellevue University at 5:00.
