Lamoni, IA-
With the pre-season less than a month away, Graceland University women’s volleyball coach Stew McDole continues to round out his roster with new and talented incoming players such as Allie Buckler.

A 6’0” middle-blocker prospect from Franktown, Colorado, Buckler will join the Jackets this fall as she looks to continue to advance her volleyball career while gaining an education at Graceland University. A truly gifted athlete, Buckler attended Ponderosa High School where she was a dual-sport standout for the Mustangs.

Lettering during all four years for the PHS track and field team, Buckler decided to give volleyball a try during her senior campaign and the results were outstanding. Using her tall and athletic frame, Buckler immediately excelled on the court and has since developed a strong overall-game.

“Allie middle and right side attacker who loves the game and has worked hard to make a volleyball dream for herself,” said coach McDole. “She played club ball for one of the most aggressive clubs around. We saw her play in Denver, Indianapolis and Minneapolis. She has gone the extra mile literally to play this game. I expect that drive to sustain her as a college athlete. She is tall, physical and fun. We are looking forward to her joining the program,” continued the NAIA Hall of Fame member.

With volleyball not being the only thing in her sights, Buckler has decided to pursue a degree in Secondary Education and a minor in History.

Allie is the daughter of Lorna and Donald Buckler and the sister to Ben, Tony, and Casey.
