Pre-Tryout Meeting

There will be a pre-tryout meeting on Wed - April 2nd from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the multi-purpose room of the Closson Center.

If you are interested in trying out for the 2008-09 Cheerleading Squad ... please plan on attending this informational meeting.

Cheerleading Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2008-09 Cheerleading Squad will be Sunday - April 6th.

We will not be having fall tryouts this year ... so if you want to cheer you must tryout now.

Tryout Schedule
Clinic = 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm (courts 4 & 5 in Closson Gym)
Tryouts = 3:00 pm - till done (Racquet Ball Court)

*If you are unable to be here for tryouts, please provide a video tape that includes the following:

A Cheer of Your Choice
A Chant of Your Choice
A Toe Touch
Another Jump of Your Choice
A Stunt of Your Choice
Tumbling (if applicable)

Video tapes must be received by March April 2nd.

Cheerleaders are required to arrive on campus August 25th for preseason.  You must have all athletic training paperwork and physical turned in to be cleared for practice. Please bring this with you or mail in during the summer. As a Graceland University Cheerleader you are required to pay for your warm-ups, shoes and briefs. Please plan on spending between $250.00 - $300.00. This will need to be paid by the time preseason begins.
