Marcus Kious

Coaching Experience:

In 2006-2007, Marcus Kious was a Volunteer game day assistant coach and an assistant Football Recruiter for Graceland University.  In 2003-04, Coach Kious was the defensive backs coach and in 2001-02 he was an assistant running backs coach at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.   In 2003, the Northwestern Red Raiders were Quarterfinal participants.  That year, the defense led the nation with 28 interceptions and they were ranked 13th in the nation in total defense.  In 2004, the Red Raider defense led the nation in total defense.  In 2000, Coach Kious coached running backs and defensive backs at South Harrison High School in Bethany, Missouri.  That year the Bulldogs won the conference championship and they were State Semifinal participants.  In 1999, Coach Kious volunteered as a junior high football assistant coach in Trenton, Missouri.

Playing Experience:

Coach Kious was a four year letterman at Graceland University from 1994-1998.  He was an all conference running back in the 1997 and 1998 seasons.  Coach Kious was a quarterback, running back, and defensive back for Lamoni High School in Lamoni, Iowa.  In 1993, the Lamoni Demons football team was a 1A first round playoff participant. 

Education:

Coach Kious graduated from Graceland University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation.

Personal:

Coach Kious is married to Kaci (Orton), who also graduated from Graceland in 1999.  They have one child, Riley. Outside of football, coach Kious loves to hunt, fish, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
