The Master of Science in Nursing programs expand the focus of nursing by using the baccalaureate nursing program as the foundation. The curriculum is designed to allow working RN's to pursue graduate study at home with minimal interruption of work and family responsibilities. Students complete the requirements for graduation through a combination of online courses, directed independent study courses, and preceptor-guided practicums in the student's own community (anywhere in the US). Also, students complete a two day focus session on the Independence Campus, at the end of their coursework, and may be required to complete an additional focus session depending on the program of choice.
