June 26, 2009 - Main Street Coffee House Grand Opening at 107 South Main, 
Independence, MO
McClain Enterprise and their interns are proud to announce the grand opening of Main Street Coffee House on the Independence Square. We will celebrate on June 26th from 7am to 10pm with free samples of smoothies, our unique house blend coffee, and live entertainment for all ages.
Every summer Ken and Cindy McClain hire interns from Graceland University to help them with their businesses. This year the McClain interns have worked hard to introduce an original business to the square. Finally customers shopping in Independence can get "coffee from the square" at Main Street Coffee House. The House will be open Sunday through Thursday from 7am-9:30pm and Friday & Saturday from 9am-midnight.

May 10, 2009 - A reception for the GU SIFE team at the National Competition in Philadelpha

April 4, 2009 - Independence Campus event -
A group of Facebook friends who graduated from GU between the years of 1986-1991 are getting together at the Independence campus on Saturday, April 4 from 6pm to 8pm.
These friends want to open their evening's event to all graduates of those years who reside in the KC/Independence area. Alumni board members will provide some appetizers and snacks for the informal gathering.
Please come join Graceland friends from your class years and catch up on what is happening in their lives since their days on "the Hill."
Our office would like to work with you to organize a gathering of alumni and friends of Graceland in your area.
- In 2008, we worked with local alumni to host gatherings in Denver, CO and Hawaii.
- In 2009, we would like to work with you to organize an event for area Gracelanders.
