Academic Honors Day

Committed to academic quality and achievement, Graceland University is seeking high-academic students to take full advantage of its rigorous academic programs. Graceland’s mission is centered on building learning communities which empower persons for transformational service and leadership. In support of that mission, we invite you to attend one of three Academic Honors Days hosted on the Lamoni campus if you have a 3.25 or higher GPA and a 21 or higher ACT (SAT equivalent). Those students with a 3.75 or higher GPA and a 27 or higher ACT (SAT equivalent) can compete for a full-tuition scholarship.

Throughout the day, students will meet with faculty and staff, speak with committees involved with the Honors Program, and learn about the program by interacting with current honors students. We encourage all qualified students to take advantage of this prestigious opportunity at Graceland University.

These events help build Graceland’s academic community of the future and recognize the high academic achievements of future students.

What is Academic Honors Day?

Academic Honors Day is an opportunity for high school seniors and transfer students to come to Graceland's Lamoni campus and be rewarded for their academic achievement. By participating in Academic Honors Day, you can guarantee yourself a scholarship that is renewable for up to four years. These scholarships are available only to students attending classes on the Lamoni campus.

Start your day at 9 a.m. in the Shaw Atrium with registration/continental breakfast. Throughout the day, you will get a chance to talk with representatives from Student Financial Services, meet current students, be introduced to Graceland faculty and enjoy a typical student lunch in the Commons. The duration of the day will consist of rotations to include interviews, a student panel, one-on-one financial aid discussion, student group project or a parent panel for those who have chosen to attend. In addition, there will be possible opportunities to tour campus, meet with coaches who are available, or audition for a performing arts or athletic team.
