MUSC1210 Music Theory I 3 s.h.
Encompasses the study of diatonic chords in major and minor keys, principles of voice leading, root position part writing, harmonic progression, triads in first and second inversions, cadences, and dominant seventh chords. Prerequisites: Grade of 70 or higher on Music Theory Placement Exam or successful completion of MUSC1200 Fundamentals of Music with a grade of C or higher.
