John Wood, MSN
Assistant Professor of Nursing
Teaching nurses is what I truly love to do. Whether it is the fundamentals of nursing care, or advanced topics of critical care, what excites me and recharges my batteries is seeing the lightbulbs light up in my students. Since instructing my first CPR class for the American Red Cross at the age of 16, my passion in teaching healthcare professionals continues to grow.
When I’m not teaching, my time is occupied with family, home and pets. My wife and I love to travel together. We enjoy music, films, books and theatre. We have two grown children who used to occupy a lot of our time. I have been called a “Master of Esoteric Knowledge” by some of my friends, but have yet to receive a call from Alex Trebek.
I have been a Boy Scout Leader in the past, have recently finished my Masters in Nursing Education and am currently catching up on a stack of recreational reading books that stands about knee high. Got to soak in more of that “esoteric knowledge”.
Alex, seriously, if you are reading this, I would love to be on Jeopardy!
