Story telling is at the heart of what I do. As a scenic designer for theatre, my goal is always to stay faithful to the narrative being told, and a successful set is one that embodies the very essence of the story. There is no greater experience for me in my work than to see the finished product and watch it come to life.

My Bachelor of Arts in Theatre was earned at the University of Southern Mississippi. I was fortunate enough to work around the country at several theaters before achieving my Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I believe in the value of teaching by learning and constantly pushing myself to try new things and experiment with techniques and methods, giving me the ability to better educate my students. Digital art is a huge interest of mine that I am pushing our industry to further advance in to expand scenic design abilities.

In my free time, I enjoy writing stories, songs and graphic novels. I love creating new ideas, and it drives my philosophy in work, teaching and fun.
