Cindy Waits, MSN
Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing
Hi. I have been a nurse for more than 40 years! My area of expertise is in assisting to “birth babies”. I loved working with new families in both Obstetrics and Pediatrics. Now teaching students in those areas, I am bridging what I have experienced to new nurses in the classroom and at clinical. I love engaging students and use a birthing simulator to demonstrate how a baby is born!
When not teaching, I love to sew and create! I have sewn since I was about 9 years old and have expanded my talent to sewing curtains, pillows, traveling bags, baby shoes, you name it!
I do the practice of yoga and Pilates to keep me grounded and balanced. I am involved in my church activities along with baking Slovak cookies!
