Canadian Students

Canadian Admissions Requirements

Hey fellow Canadian-I am Brian Shantz Executive Director for recruitment in Canada for Graceland University. Graceland is a very Canadian-friendly university and campus. I have been a trusted advisor to over a thousand Canadian students who have attended Graceland in the last fifteen years. We currently have over 80 Canadian students enjoying their "Graceland Experience". Our academic programs are equivalent to Canadian university courses, and we have articulation agreements with the Canadian universities, should you ever wish to transfer back to a Canadian University.

Your first step toward enrolling at Graceland is to fill out our on-line application. If you submit it electronically from our website, we'll waive your $50 application fee. Then fax your high school transcript to us at 641-784-5480. (If you've taken any college courses, we need those transcripts, too.) We'll convert your Canadian marks to a US grade point average; you need to have a 2.50 GPA on a 4.00 scale to be accepted. We do give weighted value for your "U" courses and your "M" courses. NAIA requires an 18 ACT and 860 SAT for varsity athletic eligibility.

We offer many types of financial aid to Canadians. We start the financial aid process by asking you to fill out an Early Estimator form . This tells us what types of need-based aid you might qualify for. You may also qualify for an academic scholarship or performance grant in athletics or fine arts. Most coaches require videos, stats or a try out. Fine Arts performance grant applications can be completed on-line.

We also have a Graceland Canadian Foundation whose program helps offset some of the difference between US and Canadian dollar values. We do everything we can to make our education affordable for Canadians. We'll even make early financial aid offers to those who have at least a 3.50 grade point average and are interested in making an early decision for Graceland. This means you can commit to Graceland early in your last year of high school, and don't have to deal with the pressure of making a college decision for the rest of the year.

We welcome visitors to our campus. Call us toll-free at 866.GRACELAND to set up your personal visit.
