The Pride of Iowa Conference includes 12 schools, from more than 9 counties, which provide numerous athletic and musical events for students to participate. Through the honor band festival, the POI Conference provides a showcase for the best student musicians our band programs have to offer. The first POI honor band on record was held in 1989 at Mt. Ayr High School in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Since then, the festival has moved from school-to-school throughout the conference, giving each school the opportunity to "host."
This years POI Honor Band is being hosted by Lenox High School, at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa on February 23. The concert will be held at 7:00 pm at the Shaw Center with a $2 student charge and a $4 adult charge. -
