Degree Programs
Graceland University offers a bachelor of arts of degree with a major in music. For those interested in teaching, a music teacher certification is also available.
After a campus-wide restructure of degrees, the music department proudly presents a 21st century revised degree of the B.A. in Music. Composed of 42 semester hours, our music program competes well against those of comparable institutions. Included in this degree: private study, ensemble participation, music theory and history (with new post-tonal studies as well), aural theory, music literature, form and analysis- new!, conducting, topics in music, piano proficiency and new music technology courses combine to give students a well-rounded experience. Teacher certification through music endorsements and education programs qualifies students in the same manner as our previous music education major. The music minor remains available.
