Fine Arts Day Registration
Graceland for a Day is offered three times each semester. It is a day set aside to welcome many prospective students together. Fine Arts day is a Graceland for a Day with special emphasis on our fine arts programs and is scheduled for November 13, 2009. Sign up right away!
Schedule Visit
We're thrilled you are considering Graceland University and would love to meet you! We invite you to schedule a visit if you are unable to attend Graceland for a Day so you can tour the campus, meet current faculty, staff and students, audition and complete the next phase in the process of attending Graceland.
Scholarship Audition
You are interested in participating in choir, band, and/or orchestra! Please apply for a performance grant so we can help you come to Graceland. An audition will be required, preferably on-campus, and should consist of at least 2 solo works of contrasting style demonstrating ability and knowledge (about 10 minutes worth of music). A letter of recommendation from your music instructor, with contact information provided, is also necessary. Send copies of accompaniment music ahead of time. More details are found at the end of this form.
Theory Placement Exam
Each entering student studying music will be required to take a theory placement exam. Please register for MUSC1200 Fundamentals of Music. The test will be given the first day of class. A score less than 70% will require Fundamentals of Music to be completed; students who score above 70% will wait to begin their theory studies with MUSC1210 Music Theory I the following semester. Contact the CAP Center to register.
Music Student Employment Application
Please consider applying for one of the following student positions offered in the music department: Accompanist, Band Librarian, Band Manager, Choir Assistant/Recruitment Assistant, Choir Manager, Choir Manager/Librarian, Jazz Band Manager, Music Coordinator Assistant, Music Lab Assistant, Music Seminar Assistant, Orchestra Librarian, Orchestra Manager, Percussion Assistant. If your financial aid package allows work study, you may have first dibs at open positions, but all students may apply.
College Fairs!
Graceland University representatives travel extensively to offer face-to-face contact with you! This allows your specific needs to be addressed. So please use this schedule to find a college fair at a time and place that will work for you, and visit the Graceland University booth!
