Athletic Training (major)
Our graduates in this fast-growing field are landing jobs with sports teams, universities and high schools around the country. A recent Athletic Training graduate from Graceland is an athletic trainer with the Boston Red Sox organization
The athletic training major prepares you to become a certified athletic trainer. Challenging coursework and a variety of internships play important roles in your development. Courses are taught by a variety of healthcare professionals who practice in the field. A large part of the internship experiences are completed with GU athletics in conjunction with our athletic training staff and our 19 varsity and 10 junior varsity athletic teams.

The path to a degree in Health at Graceland can take you out of the classroom and into fascinating experiences job shadowing, volunteering and interning at hospitals, the American Red Cross, doctors' offices and clinics, and government community health programs. It can take you into other classrooms if you purse the teaching endorsement in health. It won't take long before you discover a specific job you love.

Physical Education (major that includes teaching endorsement)
The Physical Educations major is grounded in the liberal arts, and includes coursework in teaching movement, fitness, and educational methods. Whether majoring in P.E. is a natural extension of your athletic abilities, you yearn to coach a high school or collegiate athletic team, or you dream of teaching children to skip, catch, and care for their bodies, Physical Education is for you.

Recreation (major)
Leisure time has become a major industry. Trained professionals who can program leisure time in creative and meaningful ways are critical to all of us.-. Cities, school districts, corporations, colleges and voluntary agencies all deliver recreation programs to keep their people healthy, fit and engaged in activities they find fun and motivating.

Wellness Program Management (major)
People are searching for healthier lives. Corporate leaders want their employees to be happier, more productive and more self-assured. Maintaining good health and a sound body is key. Studying Wellness Program Management at Graceland can provide you the skills, knowledge, and experience you need to jump into the future and lead in the areas of fitness and wellness.
