Purpose: For students interested in political science.

Amount: $1000.00. Applications due December 1, to be awarded the following award year, starting September.

Eligibility Requirements:

Recipient must be in good academic standing and making satisfactory academic progress as determined by the university.
The scholarship is open to all students who have an interest in political science.
Financial need is not a requirement.
Scholarship winners must reapply each year.

Application Process: Applicants must deliver the following to the Social Science Division office no later than December 1:

A letter of application. This letter must include the applicant’s name and ID number, as well as the name of the scholarship for which the student is applying.
A one or two-page typed essay. This essay should address the applicant’s political interests and why he/she is applying for the scholarship. The essay must be submitted in an electronic format. The essay will be identified only by the applicant’s ID number when it is evaluated.
