1958 Edward P. Gould served in the Navy from 1961-65, all in Asia. He was a "ship driver" for two years ferrying equipment to Vietnam on an LST, was stationed at a base in northern Japan and he served 'in country' in Vietnam for several months, involved in intelligence work. His primary responsibilities were " related to leading Marine infantry units in combat and in peacetime." He had many other assignments including two years as an Assistant Professor at the U. S.
