Let's Go Pink for a Day to Raise Funds for the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Article Body

On Wednesday, October 1, the faculty, staff, and students of Graceland University - Independence Campus will be going Passionately Pink for the Cure® to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. It’s passionate because the need to end breast cancer is so urgent! It’s pink because that’s the color we’ll wear to accomplish our goal!

Participating is so simple! Just wear pink (you, too, guys!) on Wednesday October 1, AND make a donation of $5 or more to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the leader of the global breast cancer movement. The easiest way to contribute is online at: http://www.komendonations.org/goto/Graceland_Independence. In return for your contribution, you will receive a pink ribbon lapel pin AND the satisfaction of helping to move us closer to a world free of breast cancer.

Please contact anyone on the campus Wellness Committee if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your help and for showing your true colors by going Passionately Pink for the Cure on October 1.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you can make a donation anytime. More importantly, remind someone you love (including yourself) to do their monthly breast self-exam.
