A very sweet small young black female terrier mix was found with no collar by Pizza Shack. This dog has white paws, doesn't seem to be underfed or shy, and isn't great at coming when called. I suspect she wandered away from her home or escaped when her owner wasn't looking. Please call 5203 and I would be happy to reconnect dog and family. Dog is currently being fostered by Melissa Youngs.
It is my dream that KBUZ radio will become more a part of Graceland campus life as the school year moves along.Tuning in is fairly easy. Open up your web browser and enter radio.graceland.edu.This should take you to the KBUZ web page which has a blue highlited "LISTEN NOW" button. Simply click on that and wait for a dialogue window to open that says. "Do you want to listen to the file"? Click open. If you have I-Tunes already installed on your cmputer then the station should start playing within a matter of seconds. If you do not have I-Tunes then you can download that very popular and safe program from the KBUZ web page. Happy listeing!

2010 Summer Institute Iowa N.E.W. Leadership (National Education for Women’s Leadership) June 4 – 9, 2010 University of Iowa Application Postmark Deadline: January 15, 2010 Iowa N.E.W. Leadership is an intensive 6-day residential institute designed to develop young women's public leadership skills, support their engagement in civic life, and create opportunities for them to build relationships with women involved in public leadership on the local, state, and national level.
The goal of the program is to increase participation of women at all levels of public leadership, including the non-profit sector, state government, and elected office. The program challenges participants to look at politics and public policy through a critical lens, while engaging them in the legislative process as a citizen and advocate early in their careers. Developed by the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University in 1991, the non-partisan program is conducted at 18 universities nationwide.
The University of Iowa joined this network in 2007 and will hold its third Summer Institute June 4 – 9, 2010. Application and recommendation forms and additional details on line at: http://www.uiowa.edu/~wrac/iowa-new.shtml Want to talk more about this opportunity? Just contact the CAP Center.
