Bachelor of Arts — Elementary Education

on the North Central Missouri College Campus

A career that makes a difference!

From the incredible satisfaction of seeing children grow and blossom thanks to your direct efforts, to a lifestyle that is very appealing to many people, teaching is an especially rewarding career. Graceland University, in partnership with North Central Missouri College (NCMC), is proud to have created a unique program designed for both traditional and non-traditional students pursuing a B.A. in Elementary Education.

  • Flexible scheduling that matches your life. Our courses are offered in the evening so you can balance family, work and school. Classes meet one night per week for eight weeks. Full–time students take two 3-credit courses per eight-week term.
  • Our program only takes two years. Since our students come to us with two years of college or an A.A. degree, we accept transfer credits so they can be ready to teach in only two years.
All students will receive a Reading Concentration and will also have an Early Childhood endorsement if they choose to teach in Missouri. They may also pursue a special education endorsement with this degree.
  • We have the right accreditations. We have chosen to be accredited by NCATE because we feel their rigorous standards meet our desire to produce the best possible teachers.
  • Affordability is important. We strongly feel that teachers deserve special consideration so we work hard to keep our tuition affordable. Financial aid is also available.
  • You will always get personal attention. We keep our class sizes small to enable instructors and staff to work closely with each student.
  • We only hire experienced, quality faculty. Classes are taught by Graceland University faculty and practicing professionals so that you get the quality, educational experience you deserve.
