Woodwind Day

Graceland University is proud to announce that it will host its First annual Woodwind Day on Saturday, April 20, 2013. It will be a day of workshops and concerts sponsored by the Graceland Music Department, The DEKKO "Ignite your Spark Fund," Rieman Music, the Graceland NAfME (National Association for Music Education) Student Chapter #570.

Woodwind Day is geared to increase awareness, education and appreciation for the woodwind students (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone) through concerts, recitals and workshops. The Graceland Music Department invites middle school, high school and university level students from various states in the Midwest.

Clinicians will include Dr. Mary Huntimer, Woodwind Prof. and Frank Perez, Director of Bands. Rieman Music from Des Moines, IA will bring instruments for students to play and tryout, as well as many books and supplies.

Woodwind Day at Graceland is open to all flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet and saxophone students of ALL levels of playing!

Registration Fee: $15. Lunch is included.

Open to all woodwind students! Bring your instrument!

*Rieman Music will have instruments to tryout, and books and supplies available for purchase.
