Trombone Day

Graceland University is proud to announce that it will host its fourth annual Trombone Day on Saturday, March 9, 2013. It will be a day of workshops and concerts sponsored by the Graceland Music Department, The DEKKO "Ignite your Spark Fund," Rieman Music, the Graceland NAfME (National Association for Music Education) Student Chapter #570.

Trombone Day is geared to increase awareness, education and appreciation for the trombone through concerts, recitals and workshops. Drawing close to 30 students, Graceland Trombone Day workshop invites middle school, high school and university level students from various states in the Midwest.

Clinicians will include Prof. Frank Perez, Director of Bands, Graceland University, Dr. Lee Bash, Music Specialist, Graceland University and Dr. John Benoit, Trombone Professor, Simpson College. BAC Horn Dr. from Olathe, Kansas and Rieman Music from Des Moines, Iowa will bring instruments for students to play and tryout, as well as many books and supplies. 

Trombone Day at Graceland is open to all who love the trombone and is open to ALL levels of playing!

Saturday, March 9, 2013 • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registration Fee: $15. Lunch is included.

*BAC Horn & Rieman Music will have trombones to tryout, and books and supplies available for purchase.
