Enrolled full-time as a Computer Science and Information Technology major
Award based on past academics, communication/leadership, interest in computing, and ACT/SAT
Desirable ACT 26 (or SAT 1200) with 3.5 GPA in high school and good grades in math or science
Awarded on top of any other financial aid offered by the university
Renewable for subsequent years of enrollment
Scholarships range from $2000 to $5000
Recipients, known as the Ackerley Scholars, must apply and agree to certain requirements

Full-time, in good standing, and making satisfactory academic progress
Maintain a 3.00 or better GPA
Major in Biology with preference for pre-med
Award in addition to other financial aid
Rodger R. Engel, M.D., Endowed Science Scholarship
Enrolled full-time
Good academic standing and making satisfactory academic progress
Major in science
Preference given to pre-med students
Awarded in addition to any other financial aid for which the student is eligible
Need not a requirement, but may be considered when selecting between students who are otherwise equally qualified (may be more than one recipient)
Delmar T. Goode Endowed Scholarship
Enrolled as a full-time student and in good academic standing
Science major/chemistry lab assistant entering the junior year
Should exemplify the ideals of Graceland University and Community of Christ
Over and above regular financial aid package
Awarded at the end of the sophomore year
Bruce and Doris Graybill Science Scholarship Endowment
Financial Aid Committee shall designate the awards following recommendations from a separate Bruce & Doris Graybill Scholarship Selection Committee
Full-time student
Science Major with GPA of 3.5 or higher
Renewable provided they maintain a 3.5 GPA and show satisfactory academic progress toward their four-year degree
Demonstrate excellence in extracurricular life
Awarded in addition to other financial aid for which student qualifies
Multiple awards may be if funds are available
Gene M. and Jeannine L. Hummel Scholarship Endowment for Community of Christ Appointees Children
Full-time student
Pursue an education/career in the field of medicine
Maintain a cumulative GPA above 3.4
Financial need
Assistance over and above financial aid package
Priority given to children of Community of Christ appointees. If no one qualifies after two years, the scholarship is available to be used for any Community of Christ member student pursuing a career in the field of medicine
John Paul Thomas Memorial Endowed Scholarship
General requirements apply
Preference given to students interested in engineering evidenced by concentrated studies in science and math
If no students are identified as interested in engineering, then a science major or a math major has second priority
Award in addition to other aid
Financial need may be considered but is not required
Wildermuth Asian – Technology Endowed Scholarship
Full-time students who are citizens of Asian/Pacific Rim countries: Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the islands of Oceania
Targeted for students pursuing computer sciences or pre-engineering studies
Awarded on top of any other financial aid offered by the university
Renewable for subsequent years of enrollment if in good standing and making academic progress
Scholarships range from $1000 to $3000 depending on available funds
Asian students should complete the Ackerley Scholarship application since they will automatically be considered for the Wildermuth scholarship plus additional CSIT scholarships. Write “Wildermuth Scholarship” somewhere on the form.
