This policy serves as a guideline to members of Graceland University (hereinafter referred to as Graceland) employees involved with accepting gifts, to outside advisors who assist in the gift planning process and to prospective donors who wish to make gifts to Graceland. This policy is intended only as a guide and allows for some flexibility on a case-by-case basis.
PURPOSE:
To establish protocol for processing gifts made by employees through payroll deduction.
PURPOSE: It is the intention of the Graceland University’s Board of Trustees to be good stewards of the gifts provided for the benefit of the University. To that end, the Board will give strict attention to its fiduciary responsibility to provide conservative, strong and consistent management of all funds entrusted to it, in accordance with the "prudent person" investment standard.
