Served as a nursing representative to college-wide faculty development committee. (2001-2003).
Developed the course: Nursing Care Techniques in an Associate Degree of Nursing program. During a curriculum revision we deleted the prerequisite for CNA (certified nursing assistant). This course introduced basic concepts needed by beginning nursing students prior to a clinical rotation. (2000).
Developed a “safety assessment tool” to be used by beginning nursing students in an assisted living setting or senior center. This tool assessed the older adult’s environment for safety hazards. (2000).
Developed Weekend Option Program for experienced RNs and LPNs interested in only working weekends. This was done as we attempted to decrease agency nurse usage in a free standing rehabilitation facility. (1991).
