Q. What do I do if I lose my ID card or it breaks?
A. ID cards are replaced in the Dean of Student's Office located in the MSC room 27. Replacement cost is $15.00. This may be paid when the ID is replaced or charged to the student's account. An additional $3.00 charge will be added if the fee is placed on the student's account.

Q. How do I get my ID card if I leave it at the reception desk?
A. If the reception desk is open, your ID card may be picked up at the desk. If the desk has closed, a visitation fine of $10.00 will be imposed for improper checkout. The ID card will be located either with the Hall Director of the building you were visiting or in the Residence Life Office (MSC room 29).

Q. What if I want to cancel my room contract?
A. Room contracts can be cancelled by juniors and seniors without penalty if contracts are cancelled by July 1 for fall semester and December 1 for WinterTerm and/or spring semester. Freshman and sophomores may petition to live off campus if they believe there are extenuating circumstances that would merit departure from the stated requirement to live on campus. Forms may be obtained in the Residence Life Office (MSC room 29).

Q. What do I have to do to get a new roommate?
A. If you are having problems with your roommate, visit with your roommate and explain what is bothering you. If you are unable to work out your differences, see your House President for assistance.

Q. How can I change my house membership?
A. A letter requesting a house change stating the reasons for making the change is to be submitted to the Hall Director.

Q. How do I get something fixed in my room?
A. A direct call may be made to the Facility Services Office by dialing 5191 or submit a work request online. If the work is not completed in a timely fashion, report the problem to the Hall Director of your building.

Q. What do I do if my Internet connection does not work?
A. Report this problem to the ITS Help Desk by calling 5167.

Q. What do I do if I am having cable TV problems?
A. Report this problem to the ITS Help Desk by calling 5167.

Q. How do I get a refund if I lose money in the laundry machines or in a vending machine?
A. Refunds can be obtained in the Student Activities Office located in the MSC.

Q. How do I appeal visitation or noise violations?
A. Written appeals will be accepted in the Residence Life Office (MSC room 29) within one week of the violation.

Q. How do I appeal a parking fine?
A. Appeal forms may be obtained in the Residence Life Office (MSC room 29). Fines must be appealed within a week of the issue of the ticket. The Senate parking committee will notify you of a hearing date and notify you in writing of their decision.

Q. Where do I pay a parking fine?
A. Parking fines may be paid in the Residence Life Office (MSC room 29).

Q. When do the residence halls close?
A. Residence halls are closed during all official breaks of the university. During the Thanksgiving and End of Semester Breaks the halls will close at 9:00 a.m. on the day following the last day of class. During spring break the halls will close at 6 p.m. on the same day that classes end for break.

Q. How do I report stolen property?
A. The Dean of Student's Office will assist you in filling out a report of stolen property. Information will be distributed to Hall Directors and others who may be able to assist.

Q. Where is Lost and Found located?
A. Check with the Dean of Student's Office or the Student Activities Office is you have misplaced an item.
